The Blue Line stop is mercifully nearly deserted, just a few late-night/early-morning stragglers huddled on benches in wilted Saturday night getups (Sean counts a pair of devil horns, some alien antennae, and an unidentifiable purple cape among them). Tom guides them to the last bench and tugs Sean down to sit next to him in an unspoken let me bask in the glow of your overactive metabolism move.
Sean obliges, scooting closer and slipping his arm around Tom's waist, the pleasant haze of liquor still buzzing through his veins. It's something he wouldn't really think to do with anyone else they know around; one of the myriad understated gestures of their friendship that's just easier if it doesn't have to be explained. It's usually only when they're drunk, anyway- tangling comfortably together on their shitty hand-me-down couch; Tom's face buried sleepily against his neck between drags off a shared cigarette behind some dive venue; fingers tangling together in a crowded Red Line car going up to see the game, an unnoticed hey, hi ( ... )

Tom falls back against him when the train starts to move again, the hand that isn't tangled with Sean's curled around the chrome handrail, and Sean's immediately, startlingly aware of the way they're fitted together like this. It's an innocuous enough pose, especially if this were rush hour and the train was packed tight with people all politely pretending not to be intimately aware of each other's curves and angles and headphone wires.
In the empty car, though, it makes Sean feel spotlit.
He's embarrassingly hyperaware of his own body, the scratchy-cold denim of his jeans, the bolt in the plexiglass barrier that's jabbing him in the kidney, the way every time the train car sways, it brings Tom's ass into extremely close contact with Sean's crotch. His brain flickers with the overhead fluorescent lighting, short-circuiting in small bursts every time they hit a curve.

Especially when Tom's hand starts to slip lower, adding to the friction of denim on denim over Sean's cock, and he can't even be bothered getting embarrassed over how hard he suddenly is. Tom makes a noise that might be a laugh, might be a moan, into Sean's neck, and the vibration of it sends an electric jolt all through him, making the hair on the back of his neck stand up. A handful of people come aboard at Damen, surprising no one. Two generic hipster-types and a sexy bee shuffle blearily past them to sit further back in the car before it starts to move again. Sean feels jittery and overexposed, even with Tom standing nonchalantly in front of him and even while he knows the black material of his pants will hide any evidence. On a whim, he hooks two fingers through Tom's belt loop, Hey, hi, i've got you, dirty field trip buddy, and Tom smirks over his shoulder at him.
