[Adell himself is up late tonight... and has had trouble sleeping too. His own dreams have been hitting him as well, but unlike Noel he's seen nothing quite as disturbing, so he brushes them off as just normal dreams. But his sleep troubles come from something else.

Either way, he finds himself walking into the plaza. A late night walk, or more properly, patrol, might get him tired enough to sleep. But then he sees his niece sitting by the fountain.]

...Noel? What are you still doing up?

[...uh oh.]

Uncle! I-I... [Like her conversation with Ragna, she doesn't feel comfortable saying she had a horrible dream, so she'll once again settle with the bare minimum.] ...I couldn't sleep. Are you out on patrol?

[vulcanblazer]

[He walks up to her and nods.]

Yeah. ...Well, I couldn't sleep either, so I figured a patrol might help.

[Especially considering all the monsters out there.]

[...] Are the monsters still around?

Yeah. They are, but there's none inside the village yet. I think we're safe here. And you don't have to worry about them while I'm around!

[bullet_dance]

[She tries to smile, wanting to keep the conversation with her uncle lighthearted.] I know we'll be okay. A-After all, if anything happened, you would be there to take care of it.

[Just like you said.]

[And he's going to try to run with that smile and keep things cheerful.]

That's right! There's nothing that can stop your uncle when he gets serious!

[And he gives a proud smile, and a thumbs-up. Cheesy, yes. But that's just his style.]

[It gets her to laugh, at least! He sure knows how to make her feel better.] I'm glad I was able to see you here, Uncle. The last few days have been so strange.

Between the weird teleporting and the dreams people keep having on top of the festival and Sir Catherine's visit... it's certainly been busy.

But I think everything will get back to normal soon. Even the worst shifts only have lasted a week or so, and if all of these things are tied together, we should be through the worst of it by now.

[He shakes his head.]

But enough about that. There's plenty of time to worry about that later. Did you enjoy the tournament?

[...] Y-Yes! As expected, all of you were amazing out there!

Your Mom still hasn't lost her touch at magic. She probably gave me the toughest fight in the competition proper.

Though that exhibition match against Sylvia... [He trails off there, a proud smile forming on his lips. He still can't believe he won that.]

It was such a close match! [And she smiles, too, getting an idea of what he could be thinking.]

She might've given me a new scar for my troubles, but... it was worth it. That was number 100. ...100th win, not 100th injury.

[Wait, what!?] N-No way... is that true!?

[Adell nods, glancing over to Noel, his smile softening back down to a more subdued level.]

Of course. The hundredth victory against Sylvia... that one fought on a level playing field with no tricks, no ambushes, no powers.

...It's the end of the challenge she issued me so long ago.

[He reflects back to the time Sylvia gave him that challenge when he had no intention of being scared away from his interest in Charlotte. 100 victories against her before he'd be worthy for Charle. ...And he lost so much early on. And he lost a fair amount of times later on too. But he finally managed it.]

One hundred victories...

[Jesus. Her uncle's been in a lot of fights, that's for sure. Noel wasn't aware of the challenge, but she knows that if he actually kept on fighting to the end, then...

She smiles.] Congratulations, Uncle. I'm... not sure what the challenge was, but it must have been really important to you.
