[After Noel's settled in by the fountain, a voice will ring out in the dark to her. Quietly, but non-threatening. And soon a familiar figure steps out from the shadows to greet her.

By now, most of Luceti knows of Batman, so this fellow shouldn't be a total stranger to her, at least, even if he hasn't spoken to her much.]

With the creatures stalking around the village, I'm surprised anyone came out tonight.

They're sticking to the outskirts of the village. Don't provoke them, and you should be safe. They haven't attacked anyone yet.

The Rogues have already gone to an elevated level of alertness, and Alexei has prepared his squad for battle should the need arise.

But you're right in that the people need to be more cautious. We don't know what will come of this.

[One thing Batman wants is to get a specimen of those hounds, but they don't go down easily, and he won't willingly kill one. The beasts might provide some sort of clue through that.]

I suspect the beasts are well-trained and disciplined. Not ordinary wild animals by a long shot.

And you said they haven't attacked anyone... so there's probably a reason they're here. [Maybe? She doesn't know. Why has everything gone so crazy after the festival?]

There has to be. Something they're after, something they're looking for. Trained creatures like this don't simply find their way to a village and stalk around it.

They're looking for something. The question is... what.
