I'm talking about two things. One is my customers in the store right now. Two old people that haven't showered since the last time the Sox were in the Series.
Two being the foul odor of failure this morning. I actually fell asleep during the game last night...i think it was after run #8 for the Sox. I gave up as did my body because of the sleep it's lost this past week. I woke up and just knew that they didn't win. I guess i can go back to being a Met fan now next season...that is untill they don't make it to the playoffs again and i start rooting for the other New York team like i do every freaken season. Unless we see a subway series again? Yea right. There won't be another killer New York team again for another 10 years. Go Mets 2014!!
Here are some of my opinions about the Yanks:
-Jason Giambi can be a great ball player even without steroids
-Jason Giambi was on steroids and is now suffering the reprocussions
-Jason Giambi's reprocussions cost the Yanks the series this year
-I hate Tony Clark, Ruben Sierra and Cairo collectively
-John Olerud not getting hurt would have made a HUGE difference
-Matsui's allowed to have a bad game or two just like everyone else
-After the 0 for whatever start Jeter had this season, he is NOT allowed to have a bad playoff game
-Steinbrenner needs to pull a GiambiARodish type of offseason move with the pitching staff. Regret not offering The Unit more $ George?
-A Randy Johnson trade would have won the Yanks the series this year
-Joe Torre, oftentimes, makes weird pitching choices
-Yankee stadium hot dogs rule
-The Yankees had no heart during this series, even during their 3 wins
-Comparatively speaking, player to player, position to position, the cons outweigh the pros and the Red Sox ARE the better team this year. You can't win without pitching.
-What's different about the beginning part of the past 8 years as opposed to the latter part? Gooden, Cone, Wells, Petitte, Clemens, Wettland, Rivera, Duque, Irabu........Brown, Leiber, Loiaza, Quantrill, Sturtz, post minor league stint Duque, post peak of his career Rivera. Do we see a patern here?
-The curse is still alive..they gotta win the World Series to break that one.
