I'm pretty sure I'm not the person who came up with it first, but I really don't know who did it. I know I came up with the idea when talking online about spoilers and making fun of spoilers with what's probably the gaming world's best-known spoiler, and at some point I decided that it'd be funny if I could smash two of the most infamously spoiled things of modern pop culture together, by telling the world that Snape killed Aeris. Later I added that Sephiroth sliced Dumbledore into two and at some point I also tried to star including something about the Princess being in another castle. Samus being a woman is an "established" spoiler (i.e. safe to use), but unfortunately isn't good for making a nice big bang that I can get using Snape and Aeris, and Zero is not really a spoiler people seem to care much about anyway. On the other hand, maybe I should take a page out of Darth Vader's popularity on YTMND and remind people that he's Luke's father...

I'm quite sure that someone somewhere else came up with this before I did, and for that matter, I'm quite sure other people would have come up with this on their own as well after my doing so.
