Super Junior Galaxy Showcase
I’ve won a pair of VIP tickets to the Super Junior Galaxy Showcase held on 6 June at Marina Bay Sands Expo, Singapore. (I kinda spammed the contest with four answers around 30 times total, actually. :D)
It’s the first time I’ve been treated like a VIP. We got special access to the VIP area, along with invited guests and the media. Those VIPs who are fans were standing right at the stage, while the media people mainly milled about at the back. My friend and I stood quite at the back, above all the heads, and had space to move around and dance. :D :D
We received drinks, and were surrounded by non-fan media people. They kept asking us who’s who and all. So we were helpful? XD It was good in a way. Coz we were not amongst pushing, screaming fans, but amongst quiet, lax people. But bad in a way, coz we were the only two jumping, waving lightsticks, dancing and singing along. A little retarded, I admit.
Before the showcase commenced, the emcees asked some questions and called random people up on stage to answer them, and they would get a signed poster and album. The questions were ridiculously easy. Which year did Suju debut? Which country are they from? Etc. I wanted the poster and album so badly. Next question was regarding the phone. I just started jumping a bit, waving my lightstick, putting it on my head. And guess what. The male emcee’s eyes landed on me and called me up! “The girl with the blue lightstick on her head!” XD
So I came up, and someone from the crowd shouted my name. I waved (lol) but till now I still don’t know who that was. The emcee was being so touchy and friendly with me. -.- But anyway, yeah, I now have a fully-signed copy of Bonamana and a signed poster! XD XD
We waited some more. Then the presidents of the two companies officially launched the phone. After that, Super Junior finally made an appearance!
They performed Bonamana~! :D :D Amazing. The crowd went wild. I tried to get a video, but the lighting was messing with my camera. ): I looked out for my favourite parts. The hipthrusts, lol. The TeukChul part and Kyu’s high note. Sungmin was able to pull it off this time round. :D And the dance break!
The boys then introduced themselves briefly. Yesung sang his solo, It Has To Be You. He was really good.
Suju-T came up and they did Rokkugo. What a random song to do at a showcase. >.< It didn’t matter though; my friend and I sang and danced along like mad. I bet the non-fan media people around us were amused. Heechul half-stripped. O.O He looked like a sexy girl.
Then the rest of the boys came up and did another random song, Pyjama Party. Hahahah of all songs~! Again, my friend and I danced along, enjoying ourselves. :D :D Coz the boys were playing around on stage too.
They made it feel like SS2, doing these random, fun songs. XD
After that was a short interview session. Boys really love confetti eh. And I love that they love confetti. ^^ The emcees asked them some questions which I couldn’t catch. ):
At one point Siwon hugged the female emcee. Then Donghae proceeded to hug her too, but Heechul intercepted and hugged him instead. LOL! XD There’s also one point where EunHae got bored, I think, and they couldn’t stop touching each other. Hyuk tried revealing Hae’s chest. Then Hae tried the same with Hyuk. I’ve got the pictuuuures. >.<
I was pretty miffed by the sound system the whole night. Everything sounds muffled, even when the boys were performing. The only part that was pretty good was during Yesung’s solo. Maybe because that’s just him being an awesome singer though.
Anyway a cake was brought out then. Piano-shaped! We sang birthday songs in English and Korean for Ryeowook, two weeks in advance, hahah. Yes, the boys love confetti. And cake. The boys love cake too. X) X)
Wook’s birthday wish was to come back for a concert. (: (: He and Sungmin did a heart beam to the companies’ presidents ahhaha. Eeteuk smudged some icing on Wook’s nose, and then the male emcee took it and gave it to some fan in front. D: D: All the while Teuk looked so surprised and all. Hahahaha.
The boys then performed their last song, Sorry Sorry.
I thought Heechul looked pretty down. Must be because of the hate texts. Eunhyuk and Shindong looked tired and out of it. But they all got better as the showcase progressed. (: (: I’m so incredibly glad for Sungmin! He seemed so sad and down the past few days on music shows and all. But he was smiling a lot and enjoying himself at the showcase! ^^ Is it because he saw me going on stage wearing his cow animal t-shirt?? XD
