1. How long have you been pairing up characters in your fandom?
Since I was 15.
2. What got you into this?
Sadly enough, it was when I saw the end clip of Gravitation episode 01. I was like "Woah, that's a dude?? OMG THEY'RE KISSING! That's kinda...awesome." I watched the rest of Gravitation (even though it is sucky), but I started reading fanfiction when I got into Yu Yu Hakusho.
3. Do your friends/parent(s) know about this?
My parents don't know (I don't think), my sister knows about the FAKE manga I own, and most of my friends know I think guys kissing is hot.
4. Do you tend to fall for canon pairings or so-called "weird" ones?
I go for the pairings that I think are more likely rather than crack pairings, because it's their interactions in the canon that lead me to speculate.
5. Name some pairings that you've obsessed over in the past:
Kurama/Hiei/Kurama- They're not an attractive pairing seeing as Hiei is a midget (who kicks ass). They just had this weird vibe about them in the show that I was attracted to, and I started to ship them- the first K/H fic I stumbled upon was the first yaoi NC-17 fic I ever read, and luckily it was HOT and Hiei was seme (I can't really see him as uke, and he's usually written that way because of his height).
Aya/Ken- Weiss Kreuz wasn't the best anime ever (I can't even watch it for 5 minutes), but somehow I got into the fandom and read practically every A/K fic out there. I'm not really into it anymore since I've gotten bored with the stoic ice-queen type persona that is Aya.
Seishirou/Subaru- The doomed lovers of the CLAMP universe T_T Actually I don't read too many fanfics about them, because of the Tokyo Babylon/X timeline and I accept the idea that these two never ever consummated their relationship because of all the shit that happened. That's why I can't read the fics where Seishirou sneaks into Subaru's room at night and has his wicked way with him (and I'm not too fond of sakura tree bondage fics either). CLAMP have always been less-is-more when it comes to intimacy between their characters, and I find S/S interactions HOT in X, whether it's Subaru lighting Sei's cigarette, or Seishirou holding Subaru's bandage like it's something precious (that sounds revolting, but I swear it's awesome). Probably my favourite ever canon pairing. And there might be hope for them in the Tsubasa universe.
Touya/Yukito- The only CLAMP yaoi couple that isn't fucked up. It's a nice change from the cannibalism and eye-gouging and what not with other CLAMP yaoi lovers, and they're so cuddly and cute and I squealed when I saw them again in Tsubasa. There aren't too many fics of them anymore which is sad. Also, a lot of them incorporate Yue which is fair enough, but I never liked Touya/Yue. Touya is supposed to love YUKITO, and I don't care if it's the same body it's still cheating. >:(
Hulking/Wiccan- I never thought I'd see the day when not only would a gay Marvel comics character be allowed to get laid, but there would be a gay superhero couple too (and they're teens!). Personally I think these characters are a little under-developed, but Young Avengers is fairly new and Heinberg hasn't fleshed them out yet, but I think H/W are adorable and I can't wait to see what happens to them next (I hope they don't get killed, but it is fucking Marvel after all).
Zoro/Sanji- Before I got into One Piece I knew this was a popular pairing, which is why I found it easier to accept than others when I entered the fandom. I guess they're appealing in a lot of ways- they're rivals who bicker and want to one up each other in every field (including bed), they're opposites yet they're similar, they can be angsty, humourous, even fluffy, and can switch between seme and uke. Also there are so many great writers in the fandom ^-^ What more can I say? They're currently my favourite pairing.
Dee/Ryo- Another canon pairing that I love. Um, yeah. The kissing scene i love the most was the one in the car in Volume 5.
Kurogane/Fye- I'm starting to run out of steam. I like this pairing. I like the whole vampire thing going on lately. I hope Fye runs away with Kuro back to Japan country.
Doumeki/Watanuki- I only just got into xxxHolic, and at this stage I can't decide whether I like their friendship or if I am interested in something more. The doujinshi up at yaoi_daily at the moment is starting to push me towards the latter ^-^ Their relations in xxcHolic are pretty intimate by CLAMP standards (the eye-sharing, blood-sharing etc.), and the fangirl in me is hoping that Doumeki is Watanuki's "person who changed his life" or whatever.
6. What is currently your hottest pairing?
Zoro/Sanji still.
7. Name some characteristics of your ideal seme:
um....yeah.
8. Name some characteristics of your ideal uke?
One that still acts like a man during sex. I hate weepy ukes.
9. Which do you tend to like more: seme or uke?
For some reasons I like uke characters better, with the exception of Seishirou who is a sex god.
10. Are there any pairings that you simply despise?
Kakashi/Iruka- I was puzzled about the popularity of Kaka/Iru because it's a crack pairing, but I also don't like Iruka and can't really see Kakashi as gay (probably because I want him for myself).
Hogwarts teacher or adult/young young Hogwarts student- EW. Similarly:
young Hogwarts student/young Hogwarts student- I'm willing to buy Harry/Ron or Harry/Draco shagging when they're 16 or something, but when they're 12, it's just WRONG. Waffy PG fics are OK, but no sex please.
Yuki/Shuichi- Ugh, this pairing was just so unappealing. Shuichi had some personality, but Yuki was too stoic to the point where he was just a boring asshole that I don't know why Shuichi went all goo-goo for him in the first place, and yeah. It just didn't work for me.
Subaru/Kamui- Only coz I'm Sei/Sub. :p
