Lover's Yearning

A sweet smile to light up the day
A gentle touch to start the morning
I wake from my sleep
All alone, a cold spot beside me.

It was just a dream
I know it was
But it felt so real
Especially when my angel kissed me on the lips.

I still feel the heat of her lips on mine
Awakening me with the soft touch
Her scent fills the room
Alone again… as it’s been for a long time now…
