Well hello everybody. I am in an internet cafe type thing in Bangkok right now. Even though I have the time to do an actual update, I don't really have the money. So, I'll just give you all a quick run down of what has been going on. When I get back to Taiwan, I will have an actual update, as you would expect.
The flight here was pretty nice. It was my first time being on a plane that has the personal tv screens in the back of the seat in front of you. I watched "Finding Neverland" and "The Incredibles" and then a few random music videos. The other cool thing about the flight was this one flight attendant. He kept on talking to me whenever he had the chance, which was sort of weird. But, toward the end of the flight, when they turned all the lights off, he walks over to me and asks what part of Europe I am from. The flight was an Altalia flight to Rome, with a quick stop in Bangkok, so he assumed I was going to Europe. I told him I was American and going to Bangkok to get a new visa. Anyway, in the end he asked where I was staying and I told him I was planning on sleeping in the airport until the morning because my flight got in at close to three in the morning. He freaked out! He said I was crazy and blah blah blah. A few minutes later, he comes back with a bag of coke, snacks, a pillow and a blanket! He wished me the best of luck and called me crazy again. After we landed I tried to sleep in the terminal, but the airport security told me if I did not have a layover, I had to leave. So, I went through customs and then I saw that flight attendant again. I told him I had to find some place to go to, and he told me to hang on. A few minutes later, he comes back and he found me a hotel that is a ten minute walk from the Taiwan office, he got me a discounted rate, and a FREE personal tour of Bangkok! I thanked him a million times, and then I got into a taxi to my hotel.
That is really all the time I have because I don't have much money. There are many many more stories, now that I am thinking about it. I could write on for hours. I have met some of the most random people. This is the most social I have ever been while traveling solo. Oh, and I got my visa without a single problem. My flight back to Taiwan leaves just a little before six this evening, so I need to go find some cheap entertainment for the next three hours or so. Talk to you all again soon!
