Hmm...I think most public toilets are like "a well in a ditch," as I like to describe them...but the toilets in department stores and houses are awesome..they've got all these buttons that do unimaginable things!! lol, I can't remember if they had them in Taiwan, but yeah...there's buttons to produce sounds so people don't ehrm, hear you? Then there's buttons for sprinkles, temperature adjustment, etc. It's truly magical!

Haha, nice pics..but what's to Engrish about Pocari Sweat?

My friend who went to Japan needs to get a visa too, seems like such a pain, I think she has to go to Korea to get it done..

all the public ones I saw were western and clean.

they say okinawa isn't the same japan as the rest of the counry

pocari SWEAT --- it's a drink with "sweat" in the name. haha, i dont care how popular it is, it still has sweat in the name

Doh, I never really paid much attention to the name of the drink..but I see what you mean.

I some some really nice Western ones too...some even nicer than ones I've seen here. They had nice scented toilet paper..

haha yeah, i totally understand not realizing how weird it is that it's called sweat. when i teach people random phrases in english here they are like "what in the hell? where did that come from??" and of course I cannot think of any random phrases right now, but you get the point. you get to used to saying it that the actual words lose their meaning, they just sort of function as a collective meaning
