A Prayer for the Pope
The Pope is dying and I'm not sure what to think. I'm depressed, that's for sure...although I've never been very devout to my faith, I have always deeply admired John Paul II and his possible death is breaking my heart. He was such a great man, full of charisma and so close to the youth of the world...so close to me.
Sure, I've never been too fond of the Church but it is because of him that I never truly abandonned it.
What happens now I guess? I cannot imagine the Catholic faith without him and strongly doubt that the new Pope will be able to live up to him.
Whatever the case, tonight I'll pray for his soul and peaceful departure...I'm sure that he'll go straight up to sit besides God.
