An eventful week...
Since returning home, I have managed to find myself staying rather busy....Between dealing with the many chores involved with the family, looking after Muromachi and his various troubles, and putting up with Yuujirou's many tag-alongs, I've had my hands full.......Ah, yes...And there seems to be this group of brats from some no-name school that we keep running across....Or more accurately, they appear to be stalking us....I've noticed who I'm guessing is supposed to be their buchou lurking outside Yuujirou's house a number of times. He runs away everytime I spot him though....Heh...I guess I really did scare him with those threats to break his kneecaps before.....
But it has been an enjoyable break, despite the feeling of having to divide my attention in every direction....And I managed to run across Shiranui on Saturday...I hadn't heard from him since graduation and so I was glad that I had the chance to see him while I was here....Aragaki was with him and it seemed he was feeling much better since back at Nationals...I have a feeling Shiranui had something to do with it...The two of them had always been close and I'm sure he was able to get him to hear words that he wouldn't take from the rest of us...I spent the rest of the afternoon with them and Rin and Yuujirou ended up joining us later. It felt nostalgic, in a way....Though it would've been better if Kite and Tanishi had been able to join us....But Kite has been scarcely seen with the exception of the Newcomers' Tournament and no one has heard from Tanishi lately....Perhaps if we are lucky, one of us will come across either of them while we're still here though...
Also, Ojii-san has been spending most of his waking hours with his face buried in the scrolls I brought home for him.....At least he's happy to have them...And they have already turned out to be somewhat useful....I'm sure in time as he decodes and learns some of the information contained in them, they'll be even more useful.....I unfortunately feel sorry for Muromachi in the meantime, as Ojii-san has oddly enough taken a liking to him...and his natural-born link with the spirit world...and has made him something of a guinea pig for things he wants to try out....Offers to let myself take his place have been waved away and scoffed at....Which kinda hurts my feelings...At least I'm not terrified of anything that could happen...Or maybe that's what Ojii-san wants. Which explains why he wouldn't let Rin do it either.....But then again, Ojii-san also just happens to hate Rin....
Anyway, I'm not exactly trying terribly hard to pull the kid away from Ojii-san's experimenting....He can think of this as a bit of a punishment for keeping certain things from me....
Though, speaking of Rin...if there was one reason I had to pick that truly made me happy to be back here, it would be that it feels like we've returned to middle school for however brief it may be, because I'm able to see Rin everyday again.....I have...missed that a lot since I first came to Tokyo and started going to Hyoutei..............
...Erm, but it isn't a matter at the moment....I am able to see him now without the trouble of dealing with things like classwork taking up each of our time or needing to travel halfway across the city...And that makes me genuinely happy.......Still, I could do without his onee-san latching onto me whenever she sees me....
But now I should be getting some rest.....As in the morning, I'll have to take part in the joint task of finding something for Yuujirou's birthday with Rin.....I have a general idea of what he would want and that's what he'll most likely get just because I dislike shopping and looking around for other options would require me to do even more shopping.....Though something tells me I will be forced to spend more time than necessary doing all this just because I'll be with Rin and he'll want to look at everything....
