A proposed outing...
After having an...interesting conversation with Princey, Ojiji, and Messiah-chan, it has come to my attention that not enough people know about the fascinating cuisine that belongs to all of these places we are traveling to...Not enough people are willing to go out and take a bite of what they aren't already familiar with......And that....saddens me. Isn't it part of our job while we are traveling to all of these different countries, to learn about their cultures and understand how they live~~? And one of the best ways to do that is through the food that they eat...The culinary things you try are more likely to last with you and your taste buds, and thus your brain, than the regurgitated facts that some tour guide is telling you.....I mean, seriously. We just went to the Elephanta Caves the other day, but how many of you actually remember what the tour guide was saying...?
...As such, to the Hippie sensei who is supposedly in charge of our learning process, I suggest we all go out together as a group to a local restaurant in each country and try some of the local food~~! It'll be fun and educational~~! And if someone has a suggestion for something in particular that they want to try, they can offer to pick what we try when we get to the country in question~~ ......That said, I call dibs on choosing for Russia~~!
[OOC: Yes, he's up to something, in case it doesn't seem obvious enough. >>; For those that hadn't been reading their conversation on Sanada's journal, Chinen dared Atobe, Sanada, and Yukimura to eat a few of Russia's less-than-pleasant-looking delicacies, which he collectively refers to as simply "fish jello". ...That description should be enough to give you a general idea of what sort of disgusting things they'll be trying. Though if you do want pictures, take a look at them for yourself here. But unfortunately for everyone else, Chinen thinks that they shouldn't have to suffer by themselves. Or more like, he figures that if he's gonna have to gag that stuff down, then everyone else should too. ...Though, on the plus side, there will be lots of vodka there also to help wash the nasty taste away and/or possibly help you forget that you had to try the fish jello in the first place. ^^; ...But I suggest others pick up ideas for the other countries. Because otherwise, he's going to keep looking for disgusting things to make everyone try, just because he can. >>;]
