Oooh, oooh! Can I request prompts even though I've never written in this fandom and probably won't? If I'm allowed, Dono/Donna Vorrutyer on Beta Colony.

1) Ezar as Piotr's military apprentice, in the late period of the Cetagandan war

2) Teenage Aral's summer vacations with Prince Xav, a very different man from his father.

3) AU. On an unnamed world claimed by Barrayar, Captain Vorkosigan meets Commander Naismith - hermaphrodite.

4) Young Miles rides Fat Ninny in competition.

5) Miles has to catch up at the Academy, and impress his fellow-students and instructors who think he's there because of nepotism.

6) Commodore Tung and Captain Thorne discuss their mystery Admiral and figure out his secret.

7) The myth of Admiral Naismith in the media: so how did the Marilacans turn Dagoola into a movie?

1) Ooh! I've always wanted to read stories of Piotr in the First Cetagandan War.

2) I thought Prince Xav was killed by the death squads (the massacre that sparked the civil war when Aral was 11). I can't find confirmation of that at the moment though, so it might just be something I assumed without evidence. That does make me think about Piotr at that time - we see a lot of the effect of his mother's death on his psyche, but very little about his father.

Good prompts!

Alex

No, Xav wasn't killed, though all his children were. He and Piotr banded together after the massacre, despite being of opposing political views, and joined with Ezar, who declared himself Emperor. Xav survived Yuri's war and was in politics during Ezar's reign as a Progressive. He and his wife presumably died sometime before Shards of Honor.

Prompt: a "conversation" (how you manage it is up to you) between the three generations of Botharis: Elena, her father, and her daughter.

The limerick (and letters) included with the cat blanket Ellie Quinn sent for Miles and Ekaterin's wedding.

Alternatively, Baz' return to Barrayar. 'Home' just doesn't quite fit the same way it used to.

Caz' input on selecting a tutor for for Iselle and Bergon's children.
