“you’re buying her a ring.” yoseob looks at doojoon skeptically. “why are you buying her a ring?”
doojoon frowns. “aren’t diamonds a girls’ best friend?”
“yes. but this is your first date with her.”
“well, i need to lure her in somehow.”
yoseob snorts, jabbing doojoon in the side. “you don’t lure a girl over with diamonds. especially not gina.” he motions for the clerk to put the rings back, meanwhile pulling doojoon out of the store. “you need to win her over with romance. take her out for dinner, compliment her on her looks, say you’ve never seen a girl as beautiful as her before. be charming, hold out her chair, open doors for her, keep her out of view from other guys.”
doojoon pauses, standing still in the middle of the road. “do you like her?”
yoseob laughs hysterically, pulling at doojoon’s arm. “you’re one funny guy.”
“no, yoseob, i'm being serious.” doojoon stops again, holding yoseob’s arm. “the way you talk about her and you know exactly what she likes…it sounds like you like her.”
“stop it. i don’t.” he does. but he knows he’ll never stand a chance, because all gina ever talks about is doojoon oppa. “i'm just trying to help you out here.”
“you sure?”
“yes!” no.
doojoon sighs. “maybe i'm just overreacting because i like her too much.” he puts his arm over yoseob’s shoulder. “so. no diamonds.”
yoseob laughs wryly. “no diamonds.”

30 days » day fourteen » tremble.
she’s trembling under his hands, his fingers setting her body on fire. his lips burn against hers and she knows that even though this is wrong, so wrong, only he can make her feel like this. she moans as he pushes her against the wall hard, bodies pressing against each other in the most intimate way she can imagine.
he pulls away, moving to her neck instead, marking her as his.
except she isn’t.
“stop,” she mutters. his response is a soft bite in her neck. she lets out a breathy moan, before she repeats herself again. “stop. yoseob, stop.”
he stops, breathing heavily. “sorry,” he whispers.
her hands move to his face, fingers stroking cheeks and tracing lips. she leans in, pressing their lips together. “it’s me who should be sorry,” she says after pulling away.
yoseob steps back, out of her reach. he takes a deep breath, averting his gaze from her. it isn’t her fault. it's him with his stupid claims of not liking her, him pushing doojoon to ask her out, telling gina she should say yes to the first person asking her out. it's him who was too stupid to realize she never wanted anyone else.
“i should go.”
she nods.
--
she’s trembling just thinking of her fingers on her, his body pressing her against the wall, his kisses setting her on fire. those dark eyes are haunting her, all she can think about is him. and he’s right there, across the room. just five, maybe six steps away from her. if she just -
“you alright?” doojoon asks her. he grabs her hand, intertwining their fingers and pressing a kiss to her cheek. “you look a little flushed.”
she smiles at him. “maybe i should stop drinking.”
or maybe she should just stop thinking.

he clutches his cheek, blood dripping out of his mouth. he’s pulled up by his shirt and a punch lands square on his other cheek.
“you’re a fucking bastard.”
yes, he’s aware of that. in fact, he told himself that multiple times. he thinks they could battle for the title though, because he thinks doojoon is quite the bastard himself.
another punch lands in his stomach and he groans out in pain. he braces himself for more punches, but they never come. he hears doojoon breathing, every breath filled with anger.
“how could you?”
how could you, he thinks. instead he says “I’m sorry.”
“you told me you didn’t like her!”
yoseob spits some blood out. “you knew i was lying,” he mutters.
doojoon grabs him by the shirt again. “you shouldn’t have lied about it in the first place. you said you were okay with it.”
obviously he wasn’t okay with it.
“how long?”
yoseob shakes his head. “it’s not important.”
“HOW LONG?”
“two months. three months maybe, i don’t know,” yoseob croaks out. doojoon lets go of him and he falls to the floor.
doojoon screams and turns around. “go find somewhere else to sleep. i’ll tell the managers you needed a break.”
“don’t do this,” yoseob whispers. “you can’t do this.”
“you were sneaking of with my girlfriend. tell me why i can’t do this.”
yoseob gulps. “this is something between us. not the band. you can’t take the band away from me.”
doojoon glares at him. “oh, watch me do just that.”

30 days » day sixteen » promise.
“don’t go.” she's clinging to him, arms wrapped around him tightly as tears stream down her cheeks. “you can’t go. not like this. i'll tell him -”
“you won’t tell him anything.” he breathes in her scent, vanilla mixed with something that’s pure gina. he’s going to miss it. “just forget about all of this and be happy with -”
“don’t say it.” she tightens her grip on him. “you know i’m not going back to -”
“you have to, it’s the only -”
“no, it’s not!” she leans back, grabbing his shoulders. “it’s not fair. he can’t do this!”
he takes a deep breath. he'd like to think she’s right, but he knows she isn’t. doojoon doesn’t blame her, he never will. doojoon loves her and love makes blind. yoseob knows all about that.
“i should leave now.”
“no, you can’t -”
he cuts her off by kissing her. his fingers tangle themselves in her hair, chapped lips meeting hers. he captures her bottom lip and bites on it gently, then pulls away only to repeat the process again. as they part they both let out a shaky breath, lips brushing against each other as they catch their breath.
“you’ll come back.”
he hears the hidden message. come back for me.
“i don’t know if…” he shakes her head as she starts protesting. “no, that’s not what i meant. i just don’t know if i can come back anytime soon. maybe it’s better if I don’t.”
“you have to.”
she grabs his hand and traces a pattern on it. he’s confused at first, but then he feels the patterns forming letters. he pulls her closer.
“me too,” he whispers.
“promise me you’ll come back?” she asks with a small voice.
he kisses her lips one last time. “i promise.”
