Last night I met a vampire (this has nothing to do with my previous post, for that see www.sinfest.com).

Thanks to my posh girl, Bryony, who was celebrating completing her Phd and passing her Viva out at some pub I'd never been to before.
Met lots of friends of hers she'd kept hidden away untill now.

At this point it may be worth noting that I was introduced to Bryony by Kate the Viking who told me I was going to be her friend, and that I as going to be nice and, importantly, normal! And you don't argue with Kate the Viking.

Absolute bunch of nutters! The most horrendously extrovert, camp, rowdy, hedonistic and plain incestuous group I've come accross in a long time.

Kinda like me before I became a christian and had to start restraining myself.

All very nice people, even the feminist, and the girl who was pretending to be a cat for the evening (meowing, purring, hissing, not a word of English) and the guy alternating between singing opera and somehow managing to hold coherent sentences that were constructed entirely from quotes from greek mythology.

Amongst this crowd was the celebrant Bryony, the poshest person I know and most normal person there. James, bryony's boyfriend and member of my homegroup and friend. Liz, Karen (my wife) best friend, and Liz's boyfriend Simon who's an insecure little nerd who never had a girlfriend before Liz and doesn't like me going anywhere near her because he feels threatened. So I'm epsecially nice to Simon >:-) He's exactly the kind of person I used to pick on at school. Fortunately James is cool so I was able to get to know Bryony quite well within a short space of time as we were going out to the pub, etc, just the two of us.

There was one other normal person there who worked in the lab with Bryony. Apparently me giving her a shoulder ride was the most action she'd gotten in ages and she was going to bost about getting my head between her legs to her colleagues today (wonder how long that'll take to get back to karen). There is a logical reason for me giving her a shoulder ride... you'll just have to trust me on that one.

Then of course there was the Vampire.

Cute little brunette with long curly hair and a million freckles called Jo. I commented on the freckles, something along the lines of 'you must have been out in the sun', which is when she said how she is photosensitive.
Her skin burns in direct sunlight, almost imediately. She has special prescription sunblock, which she has to wear all year round, but even that doesn't buy her more than an hour or so in summer sunshine.
She's also anaemic, I think that's the term anyway, a deficiency of the blood which means she has to consume more. Needs a lot of iron as well.
She's smart, extrovert, highly tactile, is into a wide range of music from folk to metal and indie, went on to the dungeon from the pub. Likes rpg's, console, mmo, paper and dice and something she callled larping. Broadly read, thinks fight sports are exciting and facinating and was wearing a diamante bra. Don't ask, I didn't, she just showed me of her own accord.

Talking to her I couldn't help but think she's the perfect person for Esteban.

So now it seems I have a vamp girl as well to add to my collection :-)

It seems I may also have adopted another crowd as well.

Still haven't found that elusive geek girl yet though...
