the end of the day was actually a lot better. DH was amazing. He was home before i got home, cooked a delicious dinner of spaghetti and meatballs and let me get a fantastic hour nap. Than we went to a park nearby and he got a call from the seller who he decided to speak to in person. She was very gracious and like dont apologize, its not your fault. DH and her were laughing how now both our lawyers are going to fight it out when the two of us are able to be friendly and cordial. Anyway, the bank attorney who's name, hysterically was Michael Michael (!) is a frum guy and tried to tell us that this is what was meant to happen and etc. He said he had a client who is very close to the mayor who is going to try to see if there is anything that can be done about this. What makes this a little better is that hundreds, if not thousands of other NYCers are in the same boat as we are, wanting to close by June 30 but waiting for a grant that has run out. And we are the low incomers that really could use all the help we can get!
we'll see what happens...its out of our hands now which is somewhat of a relief.
The day ended with me getting an email from my bus about a kid that fell of a bus. Whatever, it was a crazy situation where we were coming back from a trip and there were busses all over and i was trying to keep the kids safe and a kid pushed to get down. i could have been more clear with my staff and i guess i am partially to blame, which I told her. She was cool with that. I hate when these things happen, they ruin the whole trip. i'm so not looking forward to work anymore. this is supposed to be the most chilled out, relaxing time of year and instead we are stuck inside all day. blah.
