Austin Half Marathon 2103 - DNS
Wow! What an awesome day for a race! Too bad I didn't run it.
I had planned to run the half marathon this morning, but the malicious little bugs that have been circulating through the members of my household for the past few months had other plans. It was kind of on-off all week long. Even most of yesterday, I was feeling good to go, but then it came down to a last-minute decision at 4:30AM, and I decided it wasn't going to happen.
It's not a huge deal - I knew this wasn't going to be the year for any kind of heroic effort. But still, I can't say I am not a little disappointed. This is one of my favorite races. When I'm actually feeling better (next weekend hopefully?) perhaps I'll go do an honorary 13.1 miles wearing the shirt, and just pretend.
