Watching The New Pope on HBO television.  I am excited to see how this season will play, since I’m only at the start of episode two.  The very first time I only listened to it.

I believe there is another season called The Young Pope, as well. I don't think you necessarily have to watch them in order. Let me know if you need me to send it this holiday or if you need any more art supplies for your new commissions.

Did they finish the story in it, or was it cancelled?

And I think I'm good for art supplies at the moment, he said, having just ordered two new types of flesh coloured paints to try a new skin painting technique he saw.

I believe I was first listening to The New Pope, in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak. I only remember because I was busy sewing those masks for everyone in Michigan so that the businesses there wouldn't have to shut down. There are many titles related to the word "Pope", if I search it in the main directory search using the cable search. I haven't found any time since then to really sit down and watch anything. That was 2020-2021, before they lifted any mask mandates here in Virginia. The store I was working for during that time has also replaced the normal cashier role with self-checkouts in nearly all of my register stations. Perhaps they will only be hiring for sales floor and re-stock agents in the future.

Oh, they've gotten rid of most of the staff in all those stores then? That's a mistake, there must be so much shop lifting going on without staff around. And those staff were an important part of the business too. I'd bet that customers liked going in and seeing the same people.

I don’t think they have to worry about shoplifters because they have these very large entry way magnet bar arches that have to alert the staff if merchandise wasn’t paid for at the stand. It just sounds this alarm normally and then a manager has to read the receipt, and check all of the persons bags, before they can leave.

I saw a thing on the news the other day that more and more shops over there are having to put security tags on everything, and a lot of shops have produce behind locked cabinet doors now?

I was only behind the front counter sales registers. I only assisted with the cleaning of the counter and card readers before and after ever customer; after, I would scan all of the items they were hoping to purchase that day.

I find it amazing that after several years now, we're still all in the grip of this covid thing. Scott and Georgina and Alex and Hannah all have it at the moment, and case numbers are on the rise. It just, yeah, boggles my mind. And all that crap people in stores had to handle, and still have to handle. Madness.

Anyway, a friend of mine is looking for active download links for me for the Pope show.

Oh how I miss all of you. I will keep praying you and your families to get back to extraordinary health again. It's very important to listen to the doctors orders when you are sick.
My Papa passed away two years ago, I don't know if you saw or heard about him when he passed? I loved him very much, but he fell ill and in about less than a week at the hospital, they said he fell asleep. . .
My Papa had quite a large family that settled in Michigan. We had a nice funeral service at his church he belonged to and after we had a nice celebration of life service at a banquet hall.
It's been quite a difficult time for his whole family as he was married over fifty years, had five children, many grandchildren, and he helped open the doors to the church every Sunday. . .
Anyways, give your Mum and Father a hug and kiss and tell them you love them for me.

I did know that about your grandfather, yes. It's about the last time we talked, when you'd gone to Michigan for the funeral, I remember I drew a quick sketch of your grandparents in the hospital together. But it's no problem you don't remember, I think you'd very much moved on from me by then.

It's difficult when people get to those advanced years isn't it, with their health failing and worries everywhere. And will do, you were very missed here too.

I did love that sketch you made for me for my grandparents. We made maybe 10 posters of photographs of everyone together with them when I arrived. I was quite devastated. He was very much a Father to all of us. My own parents keep praying for a grandchild to come into their life.

Yeah, it's not easy when a beloved family member dies. I don't know what I'll do when my parents die, I'll be all alone.

It's better not to think of such things. I find life an obstacle on mostly every day; all I can do is hope there will be peace for me at the end.

It is quite difficult to lose a family. I've lost quite a few friends, and my sister's birthday would've been tomorrow. Another anniversary, another daily reminder. Time is precious. May as well try our best to slow it down and record everything carefully.

I try to remind myself that grief is the price we pay for still being alive. And either we remember loved ones who have died or we ourselves are the one who died and we don't have to worry about it anymore. But still, it's hard. I hope your annviersary today is okay, remember she would want you to be happy and not sad today.
