Nothing has to make sense in order to be good. Just look at jumbo shrimp. Does it make any sense? Nooooo! Is it good? YES MMMM OH GOD YES!! I understand that some things in this world have to make sense, like our road system (even though it doesn't...but that's another story) but most of the time people make the correlation of not making sense = baaaaaad thing. Oh no!! I'm SO sorry that you're so confused by something being out of the ordinary!! People who just act like blubbering idiots when they experience anything "weird" is just annoying. Shadowfax (my hall at UCI) is full of those people.
For some reason, another person in my hall kinda takes this approach to other people in SOCIAL situations. When it comes to physics or any of the sciences, anything in video games, shows, or whatever doesn't follow conventional physics, he has a coronary. Example: Playing one of my favorite games, BURNOUT 3 OMG, he walks in, looks at it and says "This game looks stupid. The physics are TOTALLY unrealistic." I countered by telling him that because it's unrealistic, it's fun, but he can't seem to grasp the concept. Am I ranting again? Stop me when you think I am. I didn't say NOW...OK fine you win. For now.
Anyway I've got a paper due Wednesday and I haven't found much through research so I guess I'll freak out for another half hour before returning to my works.
