Mother's Love

Last night, I chanced upon the blog of MsNoemi Lardizabal-Dado about her son Luijoe who drowned in Maribago Beach Resort in Mactan, Cebu. I don't personally know Ms. Noemi but I was so moved by the story. Being a mother, I realized that we should always cherish all the good and the not so good our little angels does. I was crying while reading the blog, can't help it really. My eldest daughter who is 7 years old saw me and immediately hugged me and  asked mom, what's wrong? 2 Nights ago I had a conversation with my husband on what our wish list for the coming year will be. I said, I want to be able to be patient with my daughters kakulitan, Understand them, nurture them and give them the best love and care a mother can give them. I told him that I want my kids to feel so safe and secure just thinking that mom is there. I want them to consider me as their best friend mom(that is how my eldest daughter calls me) till they grow up. Reading Ms. Dado's blog made me so decided with my wishlist. I can't imagine how it feels to lose a child. They said it is the most painful part for a parent to bury your own child. Just This morning I witnessed yet another incredible love of a mother to her child.

We found this chick in our garden, her legs and wings are still weak, she can't fly yet. Worried that a stray cat might just swallow her we placed her on our emply cage(what we had inside this cage before is a ceramic frog) and just left the door open because manang ( my household help) said the young chicks mom will come to feed her because she keeps on chirping as if calling her mom. True enough, Mommy birdie came with a food on her beak for her baby! Look how she is about to feed chickie potpot( she's baptized by my daughters already) opened her mouth for her breakfast!
Now that's what I call a Mother's love!
happy new year everyone!
