I'd been in the camp, okay, they're NOT doing it here, they ARE here--that phone call in Crossroads, I'm sorry, you only talk with a guy like that if you're sleeping with him. They did everything but the: "No, you hang up first," part.
Then I realized it could work in a series as a constantly shifting situation, and that's how I'm running with it.

i loved the smooth way you brought the flashback and the metaphor in and elaborated on that in such a natural way. Your Zarek rocks for trying out the Admiral like this and being so in character while doing it. Splendid piece of writing, Both technically and emotionally.

I had to give Tom some sympathetic quality, that he'd actually be embarrassed to catch them at something! But at the same time, I think he's sharp enough to see what others may not.
(Now let's see what happens when I hit post...)

Zarek doesn't even know what's he's fishing for, but he's such a opportunist, taking advantage in a moment whenever something comes near his teeth.
I'll be slapping the next chapter up soon; no need to wait long!

I'll get back at you with a more in depth review at the end of chapter 4 :) Can't wait for more though!

The show had such an embarrassment of riches with characters and possible storylines. In rewatching this episode, I saw it was obvious that Zarek and Adama had met, and thought, I gotta see that scene! It does have a weird 'thing' quality, but it felt right.
(What will happen this time? Posting gremlins are at work!)

I do enjoy Zarek's glee too, even if I want to kick him in the balls for it!
