I went OMG A/R Amsterdam fic, it doesn't get any better than this!
Except the birthday girls were backward! But I couldn't flip the plot with Rome/Amsterdam, so, best laid plans and all that.
But I had to put the pharmacy in there! And your duty at the sex aides section. :D
I'm glad I gave a flavor of Amsterdam. Unfortunately, I've only been there once. I need to get back!
As someone who stays in hostels, you do get that question after you stop looking 21!
Oh, glad I got the pilot detail! I know they're being very hot and cold with American soldiers these days, pulling those who casually mention feeling a bit down (Hell, you're in a war!) while some act completely BSC and are ignored until they kill their wife and kids!
So, did it rain the whole time you were in Europe? ;)
Well, the detail about traveling out of season was a Mary Sue too. I hate crowds. So I landed in Amsterdam in April one time and went to Rome in December another time! So, yes! LOL! But I actually love rain, so it's just a mood setting for me.
I'm so happy I was able to tie your two hometowns together with a fic, as crazy as the idea seemed! I went from, I have no idea how to make that to maybe..

And you did it so moderatley, well done :)
Unfortunately, I've only been there once. I need to get back!
And if you do, I will take you on my boat through the canal and show you all the best places, of couse there will be two wining kids there too and you'l just have to ignore them....
I agree that there are a lot of things to be improved in the military. If I remember correctly Sheehan blamed the dutch military for blaming the fall of Srebrenica to the Dutch accepting gays in the military. Which is quite ridiculous from a dutch point of view.
PTSD is conidered quite a serious problem over here, and sadly enough I know what the effects of it can be like and itl's not pretty. You would think that in a society where a psycologist is such common goods it would be accesible to military people as well this would be well monitored.
I think you did very well, it totally worked for me I loved my birthday present, and I love you for it *squishes tightly*
I still need to put in my time and discover your continent sufficiently, as I've only visited New York and Boston so far...
