I love this universe. I stumbled across 'Stars in their Courses' at SI and read it in one fell swoop - and then DL'd it to my hard drive for later re-reading. I look forward to doing the same with this one!
Thanks.

Thank you for tracking me down! I know how fun it is to find a big long fic to chew on through the night and I'm glad to be that one!

It's addictive, isn't it? Trouble is, I think I've now exhausted most of the A/R long stuff that I will read - I'm a bit of a spelling/grammar punctuation nazi, and that reduces the options somewhat. If you've any recs, please do send them my way!

There's some epic length stuff, but I do notice there's not many medium length stories. And there's lots of series within the same universe that don't really count as complete narrative.

In that vein, I like babylon_whore's Domesticated Sexay universe series for some relaxing romance and tender angst. Also at the fandom_bitches LJ, there's great longer stuff by gidget as well.

bsg_aussiegirlwrites long WIPs...we just have to get her finish some of them!

I assume you've read all of katamarann's longer pieces on SI?

I don't think Captain's Quarters in on SI, so you may not have seen her stories. Also several writers on umademebelieve write long stories. Go poke around.

We'll have to probe lacklusterfic. She's read everything!

You can also ask at laura_ficfinder. Other readers will have better memories than mine!

Thanks for those! I'm familiar with all of those, although not all of them tick my boxes. Again with the being a bitch. For example, I don't mind NC17 stuff if it's genuinely important to the story, or is used with care, but I won't read pure PWP and often get impatient with it. I also like well-written prose and excellent characterisation - AND correctly punctuated dialogue! That last is a bit of bugbear, possibly because I've corrected so much of it as a beta-reader ( ... )
