He pushes the door open wider and ushers her inside.
"The place felt way too big with you gone."
So much so that he hadn't spent a whole lot of time at his house during the duration of the trial. He'd spent a lot of time at the lab. Or crashed on the sofa at her place.
And it's safe to say it is, in fact, later -- much, much later -- that finds Angela sitting on the kitchen counter, squeezing the water out of her just-washed hair and watching Jack cook dinner.
"It's whimiscal."

Purely by choice, of course.
He twists the key in the lock and opens the door.
"Welcome home."
Reply
What with the incarceration and all.
"Thank you."
She starts to go in, then pauses on the threshold and kisses her fiance.
"Missed you."

Understatement of the Common Era.
He draws out of the kiss with a quizzical look.
"Thanks for what?" he asks.

"Um..." He folds his arms.
"Did you want to start?"
Reply
"Not really."
She pauses.
"Maybe later?"

"It smells good. What is it?"
Reply
Hodgins grins over at Angela.
God, it's good to have her back.
"Are you pro or anti-tomato today?"
Reply
Angela considers the question.
"Pro-tomato. Unless they are roma tomatoes. Then I'm . . . neutral.
"Do you need any help with anything?"
Reply
"Do you want to tackle the coffee?"
The coffee pot is right near his elbow.
See his fiendish plan?
