I did not get that job at Safeco Insurance. Or, rather, I did get the job...but they called me back on Friday to tell me, and let me know that I needed to call them back by 12:30pm and let them know if I was still interested. But, as luck has it, I worked from 10 to 5 on Friday, and did not get the message until much too late. C'est la vie. I did not really want to work in insurance, anyway. The monies were what tempted me, but I would have hated the job.

Rich's birthday is this week - Thursday, the 23rd, to be exact. He's gone into an awful depression about it all. It is as though he is turning 40, not 20. We're having a bit of a shindig on Wednesday night out at Zach's for him, though, with plenty of cheap vodka for him to drown his sorrows, or what have you. On Thursday, I am going to be super domesticated girl and spend all day fixing a delicious dinner and a cake, which we will devour with my mum and his mum and his brother. My brother works that night, but was invited anyway. I am determined to make it a good birthday. Even if I burn everything and have to order pizza, it will be good. ~.^

Last Thursday, Anna-Pizzie and Rich and I went and saw "Ocean's 12", which was a bit stranger than the first, and faster, but good. And all sorts of funny. After that, Rich and I committed to staying another 3 and a half hours to watch "Alexander", because it was the film's final night at the cinema. I really enjoyed the movie a lot. And not just because of Jonathan Rhys-Meyers' presence. I based a lot of one of my old characters on the stories of Alexander, right down to his very close friendship with another boy when he was young, who, when they became men, also became his lover. The story was fantastic, and the acting was excellent, with the exception of Angelina Jolie, whom I loathed in the movie. Good thing she was not in it too much. Anyway, the movie was good. It made me a little nostalgic, though.

One more thing, before I head out to the grocery store. All of my Christmas shopping is DONE. Done, done, done. All I have to do now is make cookies for the staff, OCs & managers, and finish my cards. And by finish the cards, I mean start the cards. Oops.
