bitching about work and lotr monopoly.
today at work was hectic. there are 14 tills in lower concession and they bloody put me on 8, the one in the center of the arch, and so everyone who rushes the stand during our sets comes directly to me. there are 3 other people at their tills, with NO LINES, and everyone comes and stands in front of me, with the line that extends all the way to the ticket drop.
lori informed me today that the managers are making their decisions for OC (read: assistant manager) soon, and both her and marie listed me as their #1 choice. so that's nice. i really don't know if i like the job enough, or feel like i'm devoted enough to do managerial type stuff...but on the flipside, i would NEVER HAVE TO WORK CONCESSION AGAIN. god, just thinking that is enough to make me all tingly. so...we'll see what goes down with that. another plus side of that action would be that i could choose my own hours and they would work around me going to school, so that'd be awesome, because i'm getting my butt back in there now that i'm sort of making enough to support myself, drive and go to school at the same time. :)
mmm...my dad came over for the weekend, from seattle, and we went out to dinner tonight at pizza hut. yum! after that, we came home and picked ryan up, then went and he bought me lord of the rings monopoly for my birthday (7 days!!) and we played. i used aragorn. it lasted 4 hours and i got my butt kicked. aragorn owned all of the pieces that were in the lands of gondor and rohan, but they all ended up mortgaged and he ended up homeless and without the shirt on his back by the end. my brother (legolas) owned everything in isengard/fangorn/etc and mount doom/barad dur and he STILL LOST. but not to me. my dad (gandalf) won. by a loooong shot. i SUCK at board games...but i love to play them. every time we spend time together, we play monopoly and i lose every time. which isn't really surprising since i use the same tactic every time. >.< i'm an idiot.
anyway, i bought blade 2 (which the lady at walmart CARDED ME FOR) and harry potter and the chamber of secrets and since i don't work until 1 tomorrow, i think i will go watch one of them now.
