hittin' the big five oh in oh six
I'm taking a break from housework, unpacking, and preparing for my birfday party.
I'm hoping that having a bunch of kids here won't stress us out since throwing a party can be stressful enough. But we were at a 2-year-old's birthday party a few days ago and I think it helped Roger and me see how to let stuff just flow. I guess that's the drawback to having been married and become a parent so late in life. Gotta relax and not stress about mess. It's about people and relationships and that can be fun.
We're going to have a good mix of family, old friends, newer friends, and new neighbors here. Plus a bunch of kids. The drawback of having a big party is not getting to visit with everyone long enough. But it will put the "entertaining" and "hospitality" bug in us. Plus this house just screams "let's have folks over!"
Okay, back to other stuff. I haven't had any comments from readers in a while so please say something encouraging. If I didn't invite you to the party, I'm sorry. We'll try to have you over before the baby comes. Or maybe right after.
