Well this weekend has been fun but filled with so much food, which has left me extremely full!
Friday night was my grandmothers
Birthday, such a beautiful person she is, and we had a huge Italian
feast. Saturday morning I went to Dim Sum with some friends and to be
honest I ate a bit lighter as I am a tad picky in that department. It's
so fun though. For those of you that don't know what Dim Sum is it is a
sort of buffet for real chinese food but instead of self service these
ladies come around with carts to your table and you pick what dish
appeals to you and they mark it on a card. Now you have to be careful if
you are the slightest picky about what you eat because there are
extremely foreign dishes like brains and strange seafood so it's nice
when you go with someone that can speak the language as that can be a
bit easier, but not necessary. So after spending the day in
China town looking at all the cute toys in the nik nak stores and
getting accidentally stabbed with a mini spear by Wayne, which left him
and Candace laughing, I went to my staff party. This was a lot later
that day, around 8:00pm. We went to this Tai restaurant called The King and I. It
was really fun and great food, I have never really had Tai before so it
was all new to me. I tried Tapioca pudding for desert and I found out
that I absolutely hate it,lol. I had one bite and that was enough for
me, reminded me of fish eggs I could not get past the texture. The
place was cool because it was really based on the movie/play, It had
pics of Yul Brynner up all over the place.
Getting together with all the staff was so fun, me and Sam
get so giggly when we get together , it's great. My boss said
that I will for sure
have a job when i get back from My Trip to Vancouver, so that is really
cool.
Back to the topic of food... This morning I went with My family
and Dan to Stagewest for California dreamin 2. Stagewest is a type of
diner theater which you start with this huge buffet then watch a play.
Well we went to the brunch show and there was so much food! The play was
so great, they did a bunch of music numbers from bands that were from california
starting from the 60's all the way up to the 90's. It was really
entertaining. One skit was a few songs by the band the Bangles and it
was so funny, brought so many childhood memories back- Doing dance
routines with my old friend Pamela...lol. To finish off the subject of
food, on my way home from dropping Dan at the airport Patricia called
me to meet them (her and Brenna) at this mexican restaurant tonight. I
went and was so over stuffed with food I could only have corn chips and
salsa..followed by a desert at the chocolate bar. I am officially fed
for the week and can survive off of bottled water for the rest of it!
Aww Patricia gave me a Betty boop lolly pop tonight, so nice of her ( I love Boop).
Well I'm off to try and get my paper finished but will probably end up watching a movie.
