Like magic, I'm gone only to re-appear later.
This computer has become so achingly slow and difficult to use that I have decided to put it out of its misery and pull the plug when I move in a few days. I will not get internet service at my new place until I can afford to get a new computer. This may take a month or two.
Sadly, my workplace has blocked all social networking sites which is a shame because there are some embarassingly funny pics of coworkers on MySpace which I feel should be viewed and discussed in an open forum. Public humiliation can be great for office moral. (Hey, don't post 'em if you don't want folks to see 'em.) So I won't be able to check in on lj from work. Depending on how long I am gone, I may check in from the library now and then.
It should be very interesting to see what the heck I will manage to do in the evenings when not drawn by the siren song of the internet.
