I feel like I'm in a haze...everything seems unreal!

I got back from visiting Italy on Tuesday...I had left on last thursday...It was AWSOME!!! It was just my mommy and I...We had to drive to the Charloi airport where we caught a plane to the airport just outside Venice, there we caught a bus that took us to Mestre station and we caught our train to Florence.I wanted to walk to our B&B, so we did...so tired...and we met the owner of the place. As it ended up, the B&B was in the center of Florence and a good distance from all the touristy sites. Our room had two single beds, a table, and nice comfy chair which was placed right beside the window which overlooked the Duomo, and there was air-conditioning! All of this for 4 nights for just 300 euros or 75 euros a night! The only thing was, was that it was a girl only B&B. Not that it was for homosexuals or anything...I just guess that the owner thinks that girls are better to deal with than boys (or rather women and men...)! We visited the Duomo, the Campanile, the Baptistry, the Ponte Veccio, the Uffizi Gallery, l'Academia (David), Convent of San Marco, Musea dell Opera (which had the original panels for the 'Gates of Paridise", the panels for this door for the Baptistry), and many more...Because our B&B was so close to everything, and because it was soooo freaking hot out...it was easy to go back to our B&B to lie down for a bit before going back out again to visit some more. Oh yes...and we also visited a church up on a hill on the other side of the river Arno. It was great to go back to see things with my mom as I had, among others, had visited with the school for a week in 6th grade! I found the hotel that we had stayed in! It was hilarious! On Monday my mom and I caught a train to Venice, where we were going to spend only one night, seeing as it costed 140 euros for just one night for the both of us to stay! Although we could have stayed just outside of Venice, but getting in and going back would have been too much and we were only there for the afternoon when we arrived by train, and then we took a 'water bus' to the stop where our hotel was. It was really interesting not to see any cars! Just boats and GONDOLAs! I wanted to go on one but it costs 80 to 100 euros for an hours tour! My mother and I went to the square of San Maco's Basilica, where his remains are said to be barried...but it ended up being closed!!! DAM IT!! and we couldn't get into a glass blowers shop to see them make the famous venetian glass! But I did manage to buy Tati and myself both a Venetian mask...mine looks like a cat!!!hehe...Tati has always wanted one and since she won't be going there for some time, I thought that it would be nice to get her one! Then my mom and I went to see a free concert for singing with a chamber orchestra which was wonderful! (by the by, we saw a free concert in Florence given by the University of Florence)! The next morning we took the 'water bus' to the train station, caught our train to Mestre station and caught the bus to the airport. We came home. On the flight we sat next to the young gentleman, just around 22 years old from southern Italy! He was very good looking! (DAM IT!!!..NEVER GOT HIS NAME!!!)...We talked about things, he has family- aunts, uncles, and cousins in Toronto Canada, and he was on his way to Lyon in France for a year abroad for University studying...he speak...apart from Italian, English and French! I should have gotten his email address!!! ARGH!!!

On another note...Tati leaves this Saturday for Florida! I will miss her sooo much but will most likely see her sometime soon as if I go to the Faculte Saint Jean in Edmonton Alberta...there is only a short flight to get to her! Then Annie has left for Taiwan and only gets back on the 5th or 6th of August before she leaves for the US, so I won't see her...and I don't know about everyone else...I know that I leave for Canada on the 21 or 22 of July! I will spend a week with my brother before going out west...and then all depends on where I go to University!

I will update more soon, I must go and do some packing...or putting away of things for leaving for University!
Love to all!
