Ryan and I have experienced two instances of shitty, snobby, "Summerlin" attitudes. Both happened, strangely enough, while we waiting for food at Samurai Sam's.
The first incident, Ryan heard this old guy muttering "unbelievable" over and over again. He, apparently, also said "it's just chicken and rice." I guess he was upset because his order was taking forever to be ready. Never mind the fact that it was a busy night and there were a lot of people there.
The second incident, this young-ish, maybe early 30s, guy was pissed because his order wasn't ready. He must have called one in or ordered and left, then came back. Either way, what happened was there were two orders bagged up and ready to go on the counter. I guess somebody grabbed the wrong bag and left. Later, the person working at Samurai Sam's checked the bag (before the other guy got here) and noticed it wasn't right, so they went to remake the guy's order. Well, the young-ish guy in his long-sleeved, white, button-up shirt with a cross on the back comes in for his order. The woman informs his that sorry, we're remaking it. The guy is pissed as all shit. He's all, "Really? Really?" He goes and sits, and after just a few seconds, walks up to the registers where the cups are and was all, "Well, I should at least get a free drink while a wait," and without hesitation just grabs one of the cups and proceeds to soda fountain machine. The woman, clearly annoyed, says she is sorry while he walks by and he's all, "Yeah, me too." At that point, I said, "Wow, what an ass." It wasn't loud enough for anyone but Ryan to hear. I should have said it louder and called the asshole out.
When we got our food and walked by to our car, Ryan and I talked about that guy and the previous guy. The cross guy really was making Ryan angry. I said to Ryan that next time we see something like that, I'm totally going to say something. I can't believe how rude some people are. Honestly, it's just food. There's no need to be a dick about it. So what if you have to wait five more minutes, get a fucking grip.
I know everyone in Summerlin is not like this. Me and Ryan live here now and we're definitely not. Sadly, those stuck up motherfuckers give everyone else a bad a rap.
