Being Inspired

Tonight was pretty awesome because I talked to my dad on the phone for almost 3 hours and beleive it or not he has once again inspired me and motivated me to take not one moment of life for granted. We talked about life, jobs, high school and he gave me advice on all those and then some. My dad and I very rarely have long talks like that but when we do he always has an amazing way of inspiring me to do more, take more risks and never lose sight of what I want in life. There were many times during our conversation that I would get all chocked up because I realize how blessed I am to have him as my dad. It's ironic how these talks always come about during a time when I need to be re-assured about what I am going after or simply needing to be encouraged. I don't know of many teenagers who talk with their parents as much as I do with mine, and although unusual and rare, I love it.

So on Tuesday Jon and I went up to Packwood (for those who don't know what Packwood is, it's a small town on the other side of the mountains) for the day which was really fun. Went fishing, showed him around and lil and chilled for away back at the cabin. Fishing was absolutely crazy. It was no joke the best fishing I have seen up there for a long time. As soon as I casted, no more then 30 seconds later I already had a fish. It was insane but great fun. Even though totally random the ride home was also quite entertaining...fun times!

Yesturday I went to this thing for my church called Far-welcome. Which is welcoming the 7th graders into the Jr. High youth group and saying farwell to the 9th grade who move up to the high school level. So from 11 o'clock to around 4 we spend the day at the Kirpatrick's house because they live on the lake. That was so much fun. We went out tubing and wake boarding played games and honored the 9th graders, kind of like a graduation ceremony. The whole reason I was there is becuase next year I am going to be a youth leader for the Jr. high youth group. After getting to know all the new 7th graders and hanging out with all the others I am really excited about it!

I'm also wicked excited because in less then a week I leave for Creation! I can't wait to go back there. There's just something about being at the Gorge listening to all the inspirational bands and speakers that lifts me up and puts me in such a spiritual high. Then comin up here real soon is the mission trip and Riffe Lake right after that! Can't wait can't wait can't wait!
