After leavin' the note for Buffy, I got to thinkin'. First off, that Buffy was gonna be good and brassed off that I just let Emily Anne walk off into the night without warning her. Then there was the drinking human blood, not that I planned to mention that to her. And damned if I haven't been havin' a bit of a cravin' for it since, damn the tempting little bird.

When I hadn't heard from the Slayer by nightfall, I did the only useful thing I could think of. I knew she wasn't in town, I'd've been able to feel her, so I went the one place it made sense for her to go: back to LA and Mummy.

It was no easy task tracking down Dru, let me tell you. Took a couple of nights, and then she wasn't very helpful--nothin' new there, I suppose. Went on about her girls, all rhapsodic, only I wasn't sure if she meant Darla's new family or Emily Anne. Then she finally sent me on a hunt with her usual cryptic clues, first to an almost empty warehouse, then to a condemned apartment building, and finally to a power station. Locked up tight, had to kick the bloody door in, and all I found was one of her dolls, tied up and blindfolded, sittin' in the light of a computer screen. No more clues. Lovely waste of time that was.

So, back to Sunnydale tonight, just bloody well hopin' the real tied up dolly is still alive somewhere. Somehow, knowin' Dru, I think she would have gloated a bit if Princess had actually killed the slayer's sister.
