Well, I'm glad that winter finally arrived. All of this crazy changin' weather was wreaking havoc on my "I must motorcycle now" part of my brain. No salt on the roads and 10deg above zero? I'm down with that. A little chilly, but ride-able in my books. Snow = winter = storing bike = Finally worthwhile. Plus, I love winter so Im glad that its finally here. All I need now is the canal to open and I'll be one happy boy. Skating is going to be had this year dammit!
Not a whole lot new. Work is still work. They're doing some hiring in preparation of our expansion in numbers and there are two full time spots (day/evening split) that Im considering applying for. I have this funny feeling that Im still a little low on the seniority pole having only worked full time for a year when most people have been there for 10 or more, but general consensus is to throw my hat into the ring and see how things work out. Major pro to changing is being able to sleep at night, although it will probably take the better part of many, many months to correct that.
Time off over New Years was a blast. Busy as ever, but fun in heaping quantities. Fondue party was a tasty success, and the beach themed new years party of which I'll know no-one turned into "You might know a couple of people, they went to Bell" which turned into "Oh my god its Chad" new years party. Fun and a fantastic time was had by all. Who knew that a combination of my $2 hawaiian shirt from frenchys, beach shorts with holes in akward places, $8 sunglasses from the beer store, fruity girly drinks, cheap leis and grass skirts from Dollarama would combine to make such a fun night? Whooooooeeeeeee. Good times.
Preview to this weekend. Dinner at the Keg Manor with the familial gang friday night, and shenanigans saturday night with a decidedly younger crowd than my parents.
