Pinchy

I have completely and utterly become accustomed to nights, which is fantastic when you're working but sucks when you're on your "days" off. Its an ungodly 4:10 am right now, and Ive been up for an hour and a half already, and there's no relief in sight. To top it all off I just went to bed at 11:30. On my time off I seem to cat nap here and there and then crash after my first shift back. Oh well.

Now, on to the real reason for this post: Lobster.

There's a small dingy bar down the road from us here called Whispers. The other day Ben was out for a walk and came back all excited. Apparently they're having lobsterfest. $11 for a lobster. Bar? Lobster? Sure, why not. We decided to put aside friday evening, get a select group of people together and go have lobster. There was five of us, of which 3 had lobster. Of those 3, I was the only one who had had lobster before! I spent the meal demonstrating my uncanny seafood knowledge and teaching he newbies how to clean a lobster (Its like riding a bike, you never forget.)

Suprisingly, it was a nice size for the price and tasted great. The garlic butter was garlicky and lemony, the lighting was dim so you couldn't see the mess you were making, and they even gave us a cracker, pick and wetnaps wrapped in two napkins. The coup de gras was the blue light tubs they brough so we could chuck all the shells into them. All in all, a very satisfying night topped off with daiquiri's made with Altons recipe. Mmm Mmm Good.

Homer: *crying* Oh man, that's good. *sobs* Pass the butter. *cries again*
Bart: Are you going to eat that all by yourself?
Homer: *sniff* Uh-huh. Pinchy would've wanted it this way. *deep stuttering breath* My dear sweet Pinchy. (eats a large chunk of his now dead pet lobster) No more pain where you are now, boy...(snaps Pinchy in half, sucks out the meat) Oh, god, that's tasty. I wish Pinchy was here to enjoy this...Oh, Pinchy...
