Re; Wednesday at the Capitol...
was anyone sort of Not Surprised? I have been following blogs such as "Homeschoolers Anonymous", "Recovering Grace", and "Love, Joy, Feminism" for some years now. I have also been reading bloggers who write about what the latest Real True Christian White Supremacist group is doing.
With HA, RG, and LJF, these are young folks (now getting into their 30s) who ran away from parents involved in such movements when they were late teens/early 20s. Several of them still have siblings involved in said movements.
Like how Michael Pearl's daughter Shoshanna Pearl Easling has fallen down the conspiracy hole.
Recently, the Proud Boys were fundraising, via a Christian website, so that they could go 'protest' in D.C.

Libby Anne has written about being told that she was of the Joshua generation, being raised up to "take back America" and turn America into a Real True Christian nation aka theocracy.
It's like reading Libby's entry about the Waffle House shooter, and reading in the comments from these young folks who ran away, about how they understand why Travis Reinking, Mark Anthony Conditt, Benjamin D. Morrow, and others like them did what they did. Because when your group has the Real Truth, and your group alone, other folks aren't worthy of the Real Truth.
