Delineation
500X Gallery's Annual Community Art Exhibition
May 9 - May 31, 2009

Delineation: 500X Gallery's Annual Community Art Exhibition is an ideal opportunity to exhibit in one of Texas' oldest alternative galleries. Run by a co-operative of artists, 500X Gallery is a high profile environment for emerging artists.

This is an open call for drawing based work. Any work involving drawing materials, processes and/or concepts is eligible for inclusion. Absolute beginners to seasoned professionals are welcome to participate.

Timeline
Delivery: Saturday, May 2, 2009 & Sunday May 3, 2009, 12pm-5pm
Opening Reception: Saturday, May 9th, 6-10pm
Pick-up: Sunday, May 31, 2009, 12-5 pm

Requirements
$25 per entry -5 entries maximum
Each piece must include name of artist(s), address, phone #, e-mail address, title of work, media, year of execution and sale price on the back.

Payment may be made with credit card, check or cash.

All work must be ready to hang-canvases, frames, etc. must have "D" rings or wire; unframed works on paper will be pinned to the wall unless other hanging systems are provided and prepared.

Work must not exceed 60" in any direction.

500X Gallery will retain a 30% commission on all sales.

Work will remain on view until the show closes at 5pm on Saturday, May 30, 2009

Exhibited works must be picked up Sunday, May 31st from 12pm-5pm.

Other information

500X Gallery closes on June 1st for the summer and will not reopen until September. A storage fee of $50 will be charged for work that is not picked up on May 31st and, therefore, must be stored through the summer. 500X Gallery carries no insurance and accepts no responsibility for work damaged while in storage. Stored work not picked up by Sunday, September 13th will become the property of 500X Gallery.

Yes I plan to try to sumbit something... I mean submit, I swear my fingers have dyslexia.

I've been really busy I might have to scramble a bit to submit something. Drawing... hmm... I do have a sketch I made of a chair that was part in shadow, part in the sun when my mom had her first major MRI.

(It was at Galaxy Imagining.. or Galaxy Digital Imagining, something like that, in near Old Mesquite on Galloway. Beautiful interior. If you saw pictures of the waiting room, you'd never guess it was a clinic.)

Also need to consider how much money I have. Can't submit more than two entries I think. Money's tight right now.

It's a great opportunity to show, and even if you don't sell something, the reception is a great time to meet others.

Anyways, just spreading the word.
