After being on WW for a while, you learn how to eat healthy. You know the "bad" foods and learn to not fool yourself anymore cause let's be honest, if you convince yourself that something is good for you when it really isn't, you are just cheating yourself...a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips...
I have found my groove with this Core thing and I am actually liking it...I am 0.5 pounds away from being in the '40s and it is a wonderful feeling!!! But something amuses me along the way...
My dear co-worker is very much a believer in the phrase "it's good for you"...those of you fellow WWers know what I mean...the logic that since carrot cake has carrots in it, "it's good for you"....or the chocolate chip cookies that have chocolate...or the zucchini bread that has zucchini...or the ice cream that has milk...you know what I am talking about...we have all heard it one way or another. It seems with every food that is brought into the office, she finds a way to make it "good for you"...maybe to lessen her guilt? Who knows? Or maybe to appear healthier in my eyes since she knows I do WW and has watched my progress these past few months. It just cracks me up inside to hear her say "it's good for you" to EVERYTHING...I know better...but I won't say anything to her cause it's no use, when she has her mind set on something, there's no changing it. So every day I will get a little chuckle when I hear that phrase "it's good for you"...and thank my lucky stars that I know better and no longer use that phrase to lessen my guilt about what I eat...and if I say "it's good for you", it is actually the truth & not some conjured up line to make myself feel better!
