The Winter of discontent seems to finally be over, so Spring cleaning is set to begin tomorrow. The both of us have been feeling a bit crap lately, so household cleaning has gone to pot (and a crappy flat only leads to more crappyness). We've lost all cold water to the bathroom which has reduced us to the bucket system. Work for both of us has been pretty draining. I'm also almost certain my boss is trying to work me to death now. Apologies to Omylouse, who got an earful of gripes last time I called (didn't mean to start moaning, but I think I needed to).
Bitching over, we had a nice trip into London today for a very late birthday party for Silwood friend Jade. Cocktails and food in Soho. I nearly got run over by a bright blue Reliant Robin, which would have been the most annoying way to die imaginable. It had a musical horn too, with which it tooted me out the way. l_j_b found a Cyber Candy store, which had an awesome collection of the worlds sweeties. I was then lucky enough to have a clear view of Jade's face as l_j_b gave her the cricket and mealworm sweet she bought for her. Trip home was a bit exhausting. Nice whiskey now, and long sleep soon.
