[Location: Violet City! More specifically, that Pokemon school that lies on the edges of town. Mitsuru is sitting on a bench, a Plusle perched on her shoulder while a small group of school-aged children (only about three of them) sit around her. She looks as though she is concentrating deeply, but there is a soft smile on her lips too]

It's good to see children learning new things.

It is, yes. Particularly something as useful as a second language.

[He just nods, gesturing lightly to Misturu's 'students']
I'm just surprised to find people who don't repeat the same lines over and over, like some of the trainers around here.

[He offers her one hand calmly.]
Sasha Nein. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Mitsuru Kirijo. Ah-- [and then, to the kids] I suppose that is all for today. If you'd like, I could come back tomorrow to continue.
[The kids mumble thank yous shyly, before one of the boys takes off down the road back to the playground, calling for his friends to follow]

My apologies for taking you away from the children, but it would be rude of me to not introduce myself in a proper fashion. [Sasha turns and glances and the children before they scurry off, making a point to smile at them kindly.]
You all did a good job, so keep working at it. [And with that said, Sasha returns his focus to the persona-user.]
They remind me of my students back home...Hopefully you'll get to see them again, Ms. Kirijo.

-- ah, but does this mean you're a teacher at home?

That's one of my two jobs, yes. During the summer, I run a summer camp with three other people, and we try to help children find their talents.

Very impressive. The school systems in this world are lacking-- all the instructors care about is teaching them about Pokemon.

Very rarely do we ever hear people complementing us on our jobs. It's just something we do for the sake of the future generation, not expecting any sort of praise or tribute. [He takes a moment to glance around at any nearby NPC's, frowning at Mitsuru's words.]
I have noticed that. It leaves me to wonder just how these people think and act so differently from us.

... it surprise me, to be frank. Pokemon may be important, but so is a basic education.

Perhaps those people already have basics skills hard-wired into their minds. I know that sounds strange, but it's a guess as to why they're no real schools around here.

Ah? I... suppose that may be a possibility, but it's difficult to imagine.

It sounds illogical, I know. Maybe the outsiders aren't meant to know the fine details of how this world works. [He sounds a bit frustrated by that.] One day, I would like to discover the secrets of Johto.
