Lake City

So it turns out that "Surplus Herby's" is in fact the only good thing about William's Lake. Although contrary to what my grandma said no one stabbed me with my own knife. And what a knife it is! I opted for ten dolalrs more on the price cause it was the only one with a big groove for easy (vacuum free) withdrawl of the blade from the stabbee. Thinking this on account of if it comes to stabbing there is likely a bear in the midst of trying to eat me and surely I will want the ability to perfomr repeated stabbing motions with as little energy as possibly, said energy draining out of me at an alarming rate, I fear.

Also bought a great deal of twine which Carla and I intend to weave into gill nets, dip nets, fish corrals (for spawning salmon), and I am thinking about trying to make a mist net for small birds. The next few months will consist of very little besides small projects and talking to Carla. Our conversations mostly consist of us alternating between who takes the role of teacher. We also discuss those perennial favorites of what-is-the-nature-of-gender, murder-murder-ritual-murder, getting-high-plus-nutrition, what-is-up-with-victoria-being-kinda-charming-but-totally-isolatting, and are-we-old.

I've been creating packages for people, although have not sent any yet. I also have the last dozen or so issues of "Bacchus of the Alps" out here. So if you want to be a pen pal or never got one of those than please supply me with your address. Also, I accidentally deleted almost every email I have ever been sent so I don't really have many people's emails anymore. This isn't to suggest that I especially send or respond to emails but strange things happen, and it isn't like I have anywhere to go on my "days off".
