5 random fics in 2019 I enjoyed

This is my last set of recs for this session of buffyversetop5. Thanks as always to the brilliant mods for hosting this every year, and thank you to everyone who has added wonderful recs, both old and new, to my ‘to read list'. Anyway, on with the motley...

Confidence by Deangerous - nice, believable moment between Cordy and Xander when he tells her about sleeping outside at Christmas.

Give My Love to London by beer_good is a lovely little Giles/Ethan vignette just after Giles arrives in London for the first time.

Another lovely one from beer_good is Heaven is Hell for Bad People. I’m a sucker for a good crossover, and this is a lovely piece of BTVS/Dr Who. Spike goes to see the Ramones and runs into Clara Oswald.

These last two are proof if you need it that a good rec is worth its weight in gold. I came across both of them courtesy of thenewbuzwuzz from their monthly reading lists. First up is Across the Pond by The_Eclectic_Bookworm because it’s all kinds of great. It’s a series of letters, mainly from Jenny to Giles, who has upped and left for Blighty leaving Jenny to carry the load of sorting out the Scoobies.

Then there’s becoming part infinity by womenaction in which Xander contemplates his life and comes to some conclusions about himself. This is a short piece of loveliness, with vital guest appearances from Willow and Tara. Even if Xander isn’t your cup of cocoa, I thoroughly recommend it.

That's it from me. Here's to fannish fun in 2020!
