Some unusual AU's, that impressed me in 2015

Some of my favorite AU stories from the past year, arranged from shortest to longest.

No Take-Backs (Buffy/Faith, PG-13) by brutti_ma_buoni. Dark AU, in which Scooby gang loses and the Mayor ascends and is now ruling Sunnydale as a big snake.

Never a Good Time (Cordelia/Darla, PG-13) by aaronlisa. AU, where it was not Angelus, but Darla, who got cursed with a soul.

Canaries in a Coalmine (Dawn, Faith, PG-13) by beer-good-foamy. You can trust Beer Good to come up with a creative apocalypse even in a fictional universe where apocalypses happen on a weekly basis.
In this dark-ish AU it's global pandemic of amnesia, and Dawn and Faith travelling towards the last hope for a cure.

Casablanca (Buffy/Spike, PG-13) by Glassdarkly (aka shapinglight). Some years after the events of "Chosen" Buffy and Spike meet in a bar, and... Well, let's just say, it's not your usual spuffy reunion story.

I Wish (Tara/Willow, PG-13; ~43 000 words) by BiJane. What if Willow accepted D'Hoffryn's offer in "Something Blue"? Here how it goes - the story of a shy witch named Tara Maclay, and a vengeance demon named Willow Rosenberg.

pairing: darla/cordelia, form: ficlet, fandom: btvs, cat: amnesia, form: longfic, cat: postseries, cat: femslash, char: faith, pairing: buffy/spike, fandom: ats, pairing: willow/tara, char: dawn, cat: episode-specific, cat: au, pairing: buffy/faith
