1.Salt Lick (Vi, PG)
She is sweating. But then, who wouldn't?
She's fourteen years old. She wears hats. (That's her thing.) She has seen three vampires in her life - one Spike, one uber, one practice with the other Potentials. That… isn't really enough to prepare her for an army of Turok Han.
Which is turning to face her. Right… now.
Vi licks her lips, tastes salt. Sweat now, maybe also a little blood. She thinks she bit her lip. Do vamps scent blood, like piranhas? Are all those ubervamps heading right for her?
She takes a tighter grip on her stake. Here goes nothing.

He compared the prophecy in the Codex against his translation. Again.
In his deepest fears, he was never fast enough, never strong enough, never good enough. Lord knows he'd spent most of his life hearing it. His father would berate him for a lack of focus, drive, and diligence; for being one beat too late. It had driven him mad... driven him away.
The Council brass were no different, but they couldn't defy Destiny. Fate had chosen the unworthy.
The all expected him to fail. Except her. Never her.
And for her, he dismissed his self doubt and carried on.

Title: My name is.....
Challenge: The letter D
My name is.......
Sometimes, when the mockery, sarcasm and physical abuse got too much, his mind would wander back to when he’d been somebody of importance. Oh, not a politician or millionaire, but a man who’d been respected, consulted. He’d had a job he loved, colleagues who’d had like interests of reading and research. Everyone in town had known him, by sight if not by name. And oddly, that was what mattered the most. When the words “wanker” or “idiot” were thrown at him when he didn’t obey quickly enough, he remembered, with warmth, that he’d once been Mr Dalton, Chief Librarian.

Who You Gonna Call?
The First looked at Buffy with a well-rehearsed Evil Chuckle. "Do you really think you can win this? I existed back when your kind was just primordial slime. You literally cannot even touch me. Now," it said with a smile, "any famous last words?"
"Just one," said Buffy. "NOW!"
Suddenly, the air around The First crackled with energy beams. It tried to resist, but with an anguished "NOOOO!" it was sucked down into a small metal box, trapping it forever.
"Thanks, Doctor Venkman," Buffy said.
The lead Ghostbuster grinned. "Hey, all in a day’s work, sweetheart. Now, about our bill…"

Summary: BTVS S5 The Gift
A hundred plus years he'd strode the world, taking what he wanted; escorting his mad princess through one adventure after another. They'd ruled their nights. Feared and respected by demon kind, for his reputation, the slayer of slayers, and her madness. They'd fulfilled the darkest nightmares of humankind, haunting in the dark. The world was theirs for the taking and they took. Every night, they took the life of someone.
Now, he stood on broken legs, body damaged badly but not beyond repair. His heart though. His heart was another story. His heart broke at the foot of the tower.
