These are five stories I revisit whenever I need cheering up.
1)
The Key to Her...Heart? by
purplefeen:
What do you get when you mix a pretty girl, a chastity belt with a missing key, and two sexy vampires? A delightful Willow/Spike/Angel romp filled with romance, smut, and a lot of humour. Feen outdoes herself here. This one is adults only, so bear that in mind.
2)
First Time for Everything by
snowpuppies:
When Anya decides it's time for her first lesbian experience, she makes a move on Willow. What ensues is funny, hot, and surprisingly tender. This one hits all the right notes. (It's also for the grown-ups.)
3)
We're Not Gay. We're Just Friends. Who Have Sex by Julia the Younger:
This story is a Spander legend, but in case you've missed it, it's a story of awkward friendship transforming into even more awkward something more. The character voices are engaging as all get out and the story stays fresh and charming no matter how often you read it. If you've never read Spander, this is the perfect start. (Also Adults Only)
4)
Whatever Happened to Miss Kitty? by
faythbrady:
Here's a sweet and adorable Willow/Spike romance with a twist - it's told from the point of view of Miss Kitty Fantastico, a cat who's got a lot going on in her head thanks to licking all those bowls with spell residue in them. Follow her adventures as she attempts to fix Willow's love life and deal with being a most unusual feline. This one is pretty safe, though there's some swearing.
5)
The Teacher's Pet Series by
dragonydreams:
Back to Grown-up Land as Angel altruistically offers to help Willow with her confidence so she can make a move on Oz - and it all goes wacky from then on. This is a lovely and sexy tale and it's guaranteed to make the romantics smile from ear to ear.
