5 Random Buffyverse Things I Enjoyed in 2010
There's a little bit of fic here, a little bit of meta, even some graphics, and no overriding theme aside from all of these being things that I enjoyed...though it's fair to say that much of what I enjoy has a Buffy/Spike perspective to it.
1. crazydiamondsue's Meta Recs Post - Lots of great links here, going back to earlier times in Buffy fandom. If you want to explore some of the best Jossverse scholarship out there, this is a perfect list to start from.
2. penny_lane_42's Buffy/Spike Shipper Manifesto - A gorgeous summing up of why many fans find Buffy and Spike's relationship to be so compelling, followed up with a terrific list of fanfiction recommendations.
3. knifeedgefic's West of the Moon, East of the Sun - An EPIC Spike/Buffy story, set in an AU S5 (no Dawn, no Glory), with great character voices and a compelling, fairy-tale influenced plot.
4. stultiloquentia's Take Five, Everybody - Smutty and sweet Buffy/Spike post-NFA reunion fic.
5. _jems_'s a cap a day project - Okay, this project is not exclusively Buffyverse (though I'm linking to only the Buffy entries), but there is a lot of Buffy represented. Basically, _jems_ posts one of her favorite screencaps every day. But stating it like that doesn't quite express the happiness I feel when I'm scrolling down my friend's list and suddenly see this or this.
