I think Firefly was my door. And I have to say that I dismissed Buffy at first because of the crazy outlandish demon costumes I saw the first time I saw it (now I believe that episode was one where she was at Willy's) as someone who was very anti "alien/monster" type stuff it turned me off.
Now I realize I lost a lot of good Buffy worshipping years. And also a boyfriend who would have loved to dress up as Spike and bite me(he moved to China, it's not because of my lack of Buffy knowledge that we broke up. It just would have added another element I didn't know was missing at the time...) There are lots of things I regret in my life, and not getting the whole Buffy vibe for so long is on that list.
But I made up for it in complete obsession for a few years. I even made a Sunnydale crossword I could repost... Unfortunately it's a printy out kind. I had not the skills or the money then to make it interfaceable to online.

Right now I am sick and alone, and so Buffy and Angel come to mind as comfort ..visuals...and also strengthening.
I just want to say that I know that this is low traffic and I haven't really even answered many questions...I think you don't have to stick to once a week, once a month would be good so I could ruminate a bit. I just don't have the resources I used to to go back and figure out exactly how I feel about everything and I haven't actually gotten to all the latest stuff.

anyway, just know that I appreciate your efforts and I will try to step up with some answer every time something is posted.

And I always feel good when I can use this icon, because I want to be that so much.

Again, slightly delirious so I hope this reads ok....

When depressed, I've been known to put on S6 and watch it over and over. It seems to help.

Meli,

I totally get what you're saying. I always watch Buffy when I'm depressed, too. It cheers me up. It's like a familiar face in the light of darkness. It's gotten me through tough times. I love these characters like they're my own. I'd be lost without them.

Boy, do I wish I had a boyfriend who'd be willing to dress-up as Spike! What fun.

I don't mind posting a question a week. I have tons already written, waiting to be posted. :)
