I'm not sure what my problem is, but the last few days I've been feeling kinda . . . its like when you get all excited about something that's coming up or you think is gonna happen, you are all ready and you just know its going to be incredible. And then its not. Or it just doesn't happen at all. Maybe its just Spring fever. Whatever it is, its ( Read more... )

It's the 'grass is always greener syndrome'. You would of felt it in your younger days only your forgetting it right now and only highlighting the good times. As that mad woman was trying to do with the attempt at wearing what she thought was the 'highlight' of youthful attire. When we don't want to live in the here and now we dwell in the memories of the past. Only we tend to skip the hum drum and go to the good parts. If I tell a story from a few years ago, I don't tell one about a boring day where I walked into town because I had nothing to do. I tell one where something wacky happened, but the latter just didn't happen everyday, the former tended to. As long as people remember it's only 'grass is always greener syndrome' they can prevent themselves from making a fool of themselves and end up walking around with leopard print top, denim skirts, chunky boots and yellow/red frizzy hair black fishnet stockings when they're in their 60's. Or worse if they're male buying a Harley instead of a real bike :D

Well, I hope I am kinda youthful. Sorta. And not just a sad old person trying to be a young'un.

Here's a quote I forgot for my post: WILLOW: You remember, you fail math, you flunk out of school, you end up being the guy at the pizza place that sweeps the floor and says, 'Hey, kids, where's the cool parties this weekend?' We've been through this.

Movies is a strong word. They were like little cartoon shorts, all of which I happen to have on video. But I was listening to a CD I have of some of the songs updated by modern (in the 90's, I think) artists. Very nice. James and I were able to more closely bond over Mr. Morton.
