OH God!
Hello Everyone,
I am wonderful today. I have a birthday dinner date with my man tonight and I had a crazy weekend.
Friday was David's fondue party. Much cheese and bread were eaten. Followed by much chocolate and fruit. And, naturally, don't forget the wine! 6 people were there. One was on Coke, because he was driving, one was on beer. The remaining 4 drank 7 bottles of wine. I had to work on Saturday!
Saturday. I was knackered! I was at work from 1-6 and managed to look like a normal person, dispite being a tad hungover and having very little real sleep. Drink induced sleep SO doesn't count! I got home from work and made din din with the lovely Gill. Then I thought I'd do some washing and have an early night. I stuck on the laundry and had a cup of tea. As I was going to put the teacup away and go to bed I noticed that the kitchen floor was flooded. Yup. The washer is broken. With my laundry in it! Garr... So, we had to call Julie to come and see what the matter was. She and Gary were over within 20 minutes, which is amazing for a Sat night! Nothing could be done right away, so we left it.
Sunday, Gill, Alicia and I got up to run a 5K race. Alicia finished in 25 mintues, I finished in 30 and Gill (who has never run before!) finished in 35! It was a good day for us all!
Now I'm at work, and getting very excited about Ann Summer's on Thursday and my birthday on Saturday! We went shopping Sunday night and both Alice and Gill split the cost of the party food with me. It was almost a birthday present in it's self! It means that I don't have to break the bank next month when David and I go to Nice. Such a good feeling!
Ok, back to work!
